Dorothy Patricia Wait

It’s with much sadness we announce the passing of our mom, Dorothy Patricia Wait, (Pat). She will be forever remembered by her 2 children Susan (Colin), Tim, 2 grandchildren Jenna(Kyle), Sabrina(Cody), great grandson Irish, sister Donna (Barry), niece Melanie (Richard) and their children Noah and Lily, as well as all her friends she has made over the years.

Mom was born in Winnipeg March 02, 1937 and moved with her family in 1969 to Surrey, B.C. where in time, 1984, she moved to White Rock and made that her retirement home. Mom was hired as an office clerk with the Surrey School District and over the years worked her way up to being in charge of Human Resources, where she retired in March of 2000.

Known to all as “Grandma Pat” her love for sports kept her busy with friends and family. Mom loved to golf, curl, play cards and cheer on her favourite football and hockey teams. You would find mom out on the softball diamond playing through her childhood, coaching in her younger adult years and cheering into her golden years. She also loved the water and loved her boating trips with Tim and family.

Mom will always be in our hearts and we will cherish the memories we have.
