We knew we loved our grandad but sometimes you don't realize to what extent. Sometimes you don't really understand the impact someone has had on your life until they're gone. That's how we feel anyways.

In our eyes he was the perfect, nice, opinionated, composed, and beer loving grandad with great stories. And no matter how many times I heard them, it always felt like the first time.

My favourite times were buying Chinese food with his credit card, because we share the same name, and enjoying his home brew dark ales every time we saw him.

He was very smart, calculated and kept records of everything. Somehow those smarts never translated to computers, as his was always acting up. But I liked being able to help my grandad with those type of things, and I'll miss that.

Family, friends and loved ones are like leaves on your tree of life. When leaves die they fall from your tree and gently land on the earth beneath your feet only to add to the foundation and roots, providing wisdom and strength.
New buds sprout and blossom, carrying on the knowledge and love.

We love our Nana and want her to know she means the world to us.

We love you and will miss you Grandad, may you rest in peace. You will be in our thoughts and hearts forever.

A fine man and manager. I had many dealings with Ed in my position as a Machinist Representative. He was always cordial and inventive when seeking resolution between the parties.

We've known Mr. Preece ever since our sister married his son, Doug, more than 35 years ago. We remember him as a kind man with a ready smile and warm laugh. He never looked his age, and even as the rest of us grew older, he stayed the same, always articulate and always independent, driving from North Vancouver to Langley for family dinners well into his 80s. A true gentleman, he will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
