Edward (Ed) Joseph Rufiange passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 at Brock Fahrni Pavilion in Vancouver, BC where he spent five years prior to his passing. Ed was born on October 29, 1940 in Dapp, Alberta.

Ed was the ninth of eleven children born to parents Raoul and Blanche Rufiange and grew up in a large, loving family. His aventures led him to Vancouver where he lived most of his life. His job was manager of a nightclub.

Ed’s interests were playing cards and betting on horse racing. Ed and his partner Mohammed, had a racing mare and stallion (New Advantage) for breeding fees and it proved to be a very profitable endeavor.

Ed was predeceased by his parents Raoul & Blanche (Rivet) Rufiange, his sister Rea Knott and brothers Leo, Remi, Guy, Ivon, and Fred; brother-in-laws Ray Knott, Alex Dotto, sister-in-laws Ruth Rufiange and Jean Rufiange.

He leaves to mourn his loss three sisters and one brother; Denise Dotto, Sr. Jean Rufiange F.J.S., Olive (Rod) Argue, Patrick (Betty Anne) Rufiange; sister-in-laws Gail Rufiange, Mary Rufiange, along with numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Ed will be remembered by his great smile and helping and caring for others.
