Her family moved to Vancouver in the early 1960’s where her father worked in the saw mill. In the mid 60’s Bunny met John, the love of her life, and they married in 1972 – settling in Richmond. They bought property at Birkenhead Lake in 1978 where they built their beloved cabin. John would pick up Bunny after work almost every Friday and they would drive straight to Birkenhead Lake Estates to spend the weekend in this beautiful setting surrounded by mountains, streams and trees. There they enjoyed many family and friend gatherings, went on hikes and spent endless hours picking wild mushrooms. Bunny worked at Gladstone Secondary School as an office administrator, retiring in 1994, which then gave the couple more time to spend travelling. Bunny and John went on many world adventures with close friends, going wherever their dreams led them, until John’s passing in 2013. Bunny continued to live in Surrey, moving to The Village Langley in early 2023. After only a few months of living there, she passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital from complications due to dementia and a stroke on June 20th, 2023. Bunny will always be remembered for her love of card games and never turning down an invitation for a walk or hike. We will miss her and she will always have a special place in our hearts.
