You gave us everything Mom, all the fun and support for everything we wanted to do whether it was swimming lessons, soccer games or riding lessons, you were always there for us with your tireless energy and devoted love. You surrounded us in your protective, loving arms and we will grow in the security of that love. “You haven’t gone away, you will walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and always in our hearts”.
Erin’s family loved her over the moon and back. She came into the world full of spunk and determination to do it her way, keeping us on the edge of our seats with her outrageous antics, tempered by her gentle, sweet loving nature, her infectious sense of humor and quick wit. She was the life of family gatherings and could be depended on for a good laugh. It was impossible not to love that beautiful smile, those sparkling bright eyes and her free spirit. Erin developed her love of travel from her mom and they shared fond memories of trips around the world from camping in Whitefish, Montana, to exciting New York City, England, China and Japan.
Erin went on to share her love of the sun and travel with her children with numerous road trips to lakes and driving through the Rocky Mountains. They enjoyed cruises, trips to Florida, Disneyland and Guatemala. She was a devoted mother, giving all the fun and joy she could to her much loved and cherished children, son Isaac and daughter Mika, her proudest accomplishments. They will forever be secure in her love.
Erin played a vital role in the life of Jamie Napper, Mika’s father and father figure to Isaac, when their lives came together with his children, Emma, Pippa and Nicky who loved her like a mom. They shared many happy mealtimes together, went skiing and went on road trips through the Okanagan.
Erin will be remembered by her many friends for her “no judgement attitude” and her fun-loving spirit and hilarious,” blushingly off the wall” sense of humor. She was always there with an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. She will be fondly remembered with tears, with smiles and with great fondness.
Erin worked with Creative Kids and was a star employee. She was valued as a dedicated and hardworking, always there, always up to any challenge, kind of employee. She was more than a peer to her “CK’s Family” and formed special friendships there, but most of all she brought her fun-loving nature to every child under her care making sure they had fun, laughter and joy every day just like she did with her own children. They loved their “Ms. Erin”. To parents she gave a sense of security and once assured a nervous mom about her little boy being on the school bus for the first time by promising, “don’t worry “I haven’t lost a child on a bus yet”.
Erin is survived by her family, son Isaac and daughter Mika, her loving mother Lynette Wilson, (White Rock), father Brian Wilson, sister Barb Chaisson (Nova Scotia), brother Glen Wilson (Guatemala), her Aunts, Pat White and Mickey Fenton (Tom), cousins, Robin Bellis (Red), Wendy Coombs (Dave), Jerry Redman (Karen), Joe (Kim), Jeremy (Cathy), Jessie (Sue), of the Fenton family, and second cousins Cory (Laura) and Kyle (Sarah) of the Bellis family, Rachel Izzard (Bronson) and Lanny (Breann) of the Coombs family, Emily, Jordan, Kya and Eva, (of the Fenton family).
