It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Evelyn May Prevost (nee Mouland), on November 6th 2018. She is survived by her seven children, Doyle (Linda), Royston (Sarah), Dianne, Kenneth (Janet), Ian (Lucinda), Allan (Jeanine) and Reginald, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond and her two children, Patricia and Robert.
Evelyn was born on June 6th, 1926 in Braemore, England. She served as a nurse assistant during World War Two where she met and married a young soldier, our dad, Raymond. Her life adventure began when she sailed from Liverpool to Halifax to begin a new life with her new husband and her first child Doyle on the farm in Port Daniel Quebec.
She went on to raise 9 children, and in her spare time, she was a driving force in the Women’s Institute as well as volunteering at the local school, substitute teacher, and later school secretary. Every year, she planted a massive vegetable garden and she baked the best bread and pie crust on the planet.
In latter years, our parents moved to live with our youngest brother, Reginald, in Calgary, and upon the death of our father, our mom moved to White Rock, BC to live with Dianne for the past twelve years.
She was quick with a joke and her life centered on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We feel blessed and grateful to have had her with us for 92 years.
WE MISS YOU MOM
