"Fred", "Junior", "Jun" known to many for the lives he touched. A former professional basketball player in his early 20s; a singer and choirist; he loved singing karaoke with friends;
travelled all over the world with his wife; Manila remained his
favourite vacation destination
Fred was a great friend, reliable and kind. To his relatives, he
was someone they could always count on for support. To his
nieces and nephews, he was their caring uncle, their “Tito Jun”.
To his children, he was someone who taught them music, dance,
and films. He was to his children someone who made them feel
safe. He taught his children humour, steadfastness, confidence
and courage. Fred/Jun was the all-around funny fellow who
allowed himself to be the life of the party but always gave up the
spotlight to others.
Finally, to his wife, he was a friend and companion of 51 years.
He was someone who took her on an adventure. Jun, as she
calls him, supported and went along with every wild idea she
had including migrating to Canada and starting anew; creating a
small catering service where he was the lead baker and the only
delivery driver; purchasing their first home; and in their
retirement years, travelling to Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and
all over North America. Together, Jun and Nilda made the best
of what life had offered them. Fred is survived by his Wife Erminilda
