

Felicisimo (“Fel”) was born in Baliwag, Bulacan, Philippines on September 24, 1929, the fifth and youngest child of Pedro Natividad and Marcela Trinidad Natividad. He had three sisters and one brother, all of whom predeceased him.
Fel met his wife Dolores (“Doris”) Bernardino at Church of Christ conventions in the Philippines. They wed in Manila on January 2, 1960. They have two daughters, Elizabeth (“Beth”) and Rhoda.
Fel’s passion for education led to a lengthy career as a dedicated high school teacher specializing in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Algebra. He also taught English, Music, and Physical Education. He co-authored textbooks. Fel started teaching before he graduated from Far Eastern University in Manila. He taught in Saskatchewan from 1967 to 1988, moved to British Columbia and continued to teach until he retired in 1999. He was well-liked by his many students.
Fel was a distinguished pianist. He enjoyed playing classical pieces and inspirational songs. He played for church, weddings and other occasions.
Church has always been a huge part of Fel’s life. He faithfully served in various duties including those of organist, choir director, elder, board chair, and speaker. He rarely missed church on Sundays until he caught pneumonia in late February, 2016. He was hospitalized for one and a half months in Surrey Memorial Hospital before succumbing to bleeding from a stomach ulcer, which had unfortunately gone undetected until it was too late. On April 8, 2016 he passed away peacefully with family by his side.
Fel is survived by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
