Frosso was born on July 20th 1928, in the little village of Finikounda, Greece.
She was the oldest of 4 siblings, her parents Panagiotis and Anastasia Diamantopoulous.
She immigrated to Montreal, Canada in the early 1950’s to work as a nanny for a family with a little boy named Bobby.
Never before been away from home, not knowing exactly where Montreal was and speaking No English, she started her new life. On Dec. 29th 1956 she married George Kotsovos. They had 3 daughters: Kelly, Effy and Tasia. They lived in Montreal for 20 years; in the summer of 1976 the family drove across Canada to settle in North Vancouver, later to retire in South Surrey. Here they reunited with family and friends who themselves had immigrated from Greece and Montreal.
Frosso had a passion for gardening and cooking. She was proud of her fig trees. Every season we all looked forward to that phone call “the figs are ripe and ready for picking.” She shared
them with only her favorite people. She was famous for her homemade Greek cheese Midzithra,
Helopites pasta and Dolmathes. But her biggest love was for her grandchildren: Big George, Joanna, Kosti, George, Alexi, Tommy and Marcus; her 4 great-grandchildren: Gunnar, Astrid, Henry and Bodhi.
Mom passed away peacefully in her home on Dec 23rd 2022 with her loving family around her.
We will miss her everyday and remember her always.
You are Loved, you are Missed, you are Remembered.
Rest in Peace Mom
