I am thinking of cousin Grant as I  know you are gathering today to celebrate his life.  Although we were not in touch over the years, he reached out to me early this year, we became facebook friends and sent some messages. He expressed a wish to update our family connections and he was trying to do that.  Just from our messages and seeing some pictures and comments from others, I get the feeling that he was a very special part of his family, as husband, father and Afi. I hope your memories will bring some peace to you all as you adjust to life without him.  On behalf of your cousins, my sisters,  Sheila and Lana and myself Carla we are thinking of all your family and those who were close to you. RIP Grant. ❤

Kelly, Taylor and family,   sharing our heartfelt sorrow of Keith's passing.   We have so many wonderful memories of Coach Keith and looking back,  I can't help but smile having spent a lot of time on the bench as team mom.  He exhibited more  patience than humanly possible dealing with 18 pre-teen and teenage girls  (and their parents) year after year on the pitch.   Keith coached Madelaine for around 9-10 years and instilled a passion for the game that continues today as Madelaine plays in the women's league.  

And Keith....the love of the game is there for me too, thanks to you.   I have no doubt you are relaxed somewhere cheering on LFC with friends..........you will never walk alone.

Grant and I go back to elementary school in North Burnaby.
I’m not sure which year we really met, grade 2 or 3? We had a great circle of friends. We were close, his Mom was my Mom and my Mom was his Mom. We played soccer together and Grant was a fixture in our house. There was a large group of people that converged on my families house at lunchtime as we lived 1/2 a block from the school.
Grant was one of the chosen few to be invited upstairs for lunch with us. We graduated together, we suffered hardships together, we went fishing together and we shared our friends together. 
As we started families and careers we grew apart for a time. But in the last couple of years we reconnected. I was invited to “Keith’s” 50th birthday, ( I think it was his 55th). I got to meet Kelly for the first time, Mom after so many years and Grant’s brother and sisters. My wife Melodee was unable to attend as she was travelling with her Mom. It was a good time. 
Recently, Melodee and I took Grant to a mini grad reunion, Grant had a great time meeting all his high school buddies and soccer mates. 
He will be sadly missed.

It really shone through the love Keith, { AFI} gave to the Grandchildren, I saw it at the Birthday celebrations and when we were able to watch Isabella at her Soccer games.. Both Isabella and Nikolai gravitated towards him with the love he gave them.. He will truly be missed by many. 🙏💞😔

Very sorry to hear of Grant's passing. Condolences to his loving family.

Grant and I grew up together in North Burnaby. First was playing soccer together and we then became very close friends in junior and senior high school. Although our careers diverged, we remained close through the early 1980's. He was a groomsman at my wedding in 1979. After that, family and career obligations became paramount and we lost touch until a few years ago. I was not aware of his serious health issues until very recently.

I will always remember Grant as a serious music fan and family man. We always had great times together.

We never had the honor of meeting Keith but grew up with Kelly and Raymond. Our sincere condolences to the family for your loss. By all accounts he was a great man and loved his family dearly. 

Keith was such a great man and someone who we all could look up too. He loved his family dearly and was loved so much Keith. He is missed very much by all.

I was so sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. I knew Keith through work at Texcan. We were also friends outside of work. He was a great man with a tremendous love for his family. 

As many do, we lost touch over the years but recently reconnected a little. 

I’m glad that he is no longer suffering and is in a place of peace.  My thoughts are with Keith’s entire family during this difficult time.

My dad was a wonderful man in so many ways, but what most impressed me about him was his ability to get people connected. He was always trying to bring people together to talk for one thing or another, whether it was a shared interest, a common life path, or just a general feeling that the two people would have something to gain from speaking. To him, family was everything, and you could feel that when you spoke with him. He was always telling stories of siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and even those who had long passed; He kept them alive with his stories. So we too, must keep him alive with our stories. We all have fond memories of my dad, and I welcome you to share them here, and to share them at his celebration of life. 

I will give you one of my memories: My dad was a creature of habit in many ways, and throughout our childhood, he would play certain CDs and tapes until they were broken. So many times he would listen to certain songs and albums, that as a child when soccer became stressful and I didn’t want to go, one song always calmed me down in the car as he drove, and without having to ever ask him, it would play each time we left for soccer (mind you, this is at minimum three times a week!). To this day, I listen to “Love in the Library'' by Jimmy Buffett and I can feel the calm wash over me. I can hear him gently hum the words as we drive.

We love you dad, and we miss you every day.

Grant , Keith, KJ … my father hired Grant when he was a young man. There was a loving bond … my father accidentally thought his name was Keith. We called him Keith for years only to find out later his first name was Grant.  I have lots of fun memories hanging out with him and my bf.  
 A kind , gentle soul that made a difference in all of our lives. 


My heartfelt condolences on your loss.  I have beautiful memories of Grant from a time long ago.   May the love of family and friends bring you comfort today and in the days to come. I am so very sorry.
