Inga Marie McDougall

We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of Inga Marie McDougall on January 17, 2024, in Surrey, BC. She was surrounded by her family who held her hands as she left us.

Inga was a loving, caring and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend. She was loved by everyone who met her. She had a way of making friends with complete strangers and staying connected to those near and far. She loved to talk on the phone and could, for hours. She also loved taking photos, capturing memories of all her family, friends and many adventures.

She grew up in Saskatoon, SK then moved to Vancouver, BC at the age of 16. She met her husband Alex of 47 years while working as a cashier at Safeway, where she worked for 40 years. She retired at the age of 71. She built a family of 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting family dinners for every occasion, lining the walls of her home with family photos. Her family was her life.

She leaves behind her beloved husband and soulmate Alex, children: Kathy, Cheri-Lyn, Ryan (Shea) and Tyler (Amanda), grandchildren: Tiffaney, Warren (Melanie), Caitlin (Jaden), Racquel (Nick), Kim (Pearse), Braedon, and Lily, and all her great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother Anne, father Ejner, daughter Debbie, sons-in-law: Richard and Jim, brother John, sister Margie and granddaughter Courtney. May her heavenly family greet her with long hugs, laughter and many stories.

We will miss her forever and remember her for always.
