Irene Coventry Davies

We are greatly saddened to announce the passing of our dear mom, Irene at the age of 88. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Ina, her brother, Ron and her beloved husband Bob. Irene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sister, Olive (Bill) her son, Bob (Lorraine) her daughter, Cathy (Gary) her extended family and many long time friends. Mom worked for the B.C. Telephone Company for 35 years and after retiring she enjoyed playing cards, golfing, going with dad for drives in the car, and frequently taking longer road trips in the motorhome, with a caravan of special friends. Above all else, mom cherished her family, loved being a grandma and delighted in spending time with Ron, James, Michael and Rebecca. She was thrilled when she became a great-grandma to Jorja, but her life was gradually then more profoundly changed as she progressed through the stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. We take comfort in the knowledge that mom and dad are together again as they were always meant to be. Mom will be missed but never forgotten and she will remain in our hearts forever. Many thanks to the nurses and care givers at the Residence at Morgan Heights as well as Harmony Home Care for their support, kindness, and gentle care of our mom.
