Irvine Bernard Rogers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irvine Bernard Rogers on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 after a fierce battle with cancer. Irv was born in October of 1942 in Trail B.C., son of Bernie and Wilma Rogers, brother of Patricia Rogers. Irv is survived by his loving wife Bruna, her daughter Debra (David)Fitzsimmons, grandchildren Jonathan, Matthew and Julia. He will also be greatly missed by nephew Leslie Broughton, niece Debra Claycomb, 7 grand nieces and nephews, many cousins and dear friends. Irv grew up in Cordova Bay, Victoria and had great memories of living in the dream home his parents built, which was later to become the world renowned tourist attraction, Fable Cottage. He excelled in his career, starting as an Electronic Service Technician progressing to General Manager of a steel fabrication manufacturing co., X-Ray Service Engineer and retiring as an Industrial Service Engineer where he loved being hundreds of feet above ground servicing large industrial equipment. Irv had a natural gift for communication and enjoyed talking to everyone he met. He was generous in time, spirit and lending a helping hand. He will be deeply missed.
