Ive Banovac

Ive was a proud husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife Vanja Banovac, sons Steven, Michael and daughter Mary.

His grandchildren Kalieah, Sophia, Nathan, Anabella, Dominic, Emerik and Noah.

Ive had a heart of gold and always put a smile on your face.

Visitation (6:45pm-7pm) will take place prior to Prayer service for Ive that will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish, 3105 1 AVE E, Vancouver, BC V5M 1B6.

A funeral Mass will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at Gardens of Gethsemani Chapel, 15694 32 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 9V1.

A graveside service will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Gardens of Gethsemani Mausoleum, 15694 32 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 9V1.

A reception will follow Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC V3R3N6.

I have so many things to see and do,

Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave to you my love, you can only guess,

How much you gave to me in happiness,

I thank you for the love you each have shown,

But now it’s time i travelled on alone.

So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,

Then let your grief be comforted by trust,

Its only for a while that we must part,

So bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away, for life goes on,

So if you need me, call and i will come,

Though you can’t see or touch me, I will be near;

And if you listen with your heart,

You will hear all my love around you, soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone,

I will greet you with a smile and say

“"WELCOME HOME"
