She grew up on a farm outside of Theodore with her 18 siblings, Katarina was the youngest of the 19 children and was the last one to pass away.

Mom met the love of her life, Alex Michalkow at the Canora hospital and they were married soon after. Sadly Alex Michalkow passed away in 1979, and Kay never did re-marry.
Kay is survived by her 2 sons Randy and Mike, Daughter in law Sandra, 4 Grandchildren Blake, Jackson, Brendan, and Molly and her great grand daughter Bronwyn.
She was a hairdresser all of her adult life and she loved people and was loved by anyone who knew her. Mom loved music, cooking, baking, flowers, sunshine, gardening, family and friends
Although she was born in Saskatchewan, She spent a majority of her life in Manitoba, Alberta and then BC where she lived the final chapter of her life.
Kays favorite places to visit were Oahu "Waikiki" Hawaii, Winnipeg Manitoba and Edmonton Alberta
She will always be loved and missed.
A celebration of life will be held once the covid travel restrictions have eased.
