1929-2019
Leona passed away in White Rock at Peace Arch Memorial Hospital on the morning of March 20, 2019 at the age of 89. "Lee" grew up on the family farm near Blyth Ontario, became a registered nurse and then a stewardess. She met her husband, who was the pilot on her first flight with Trans Canada Airlines in 1952. They married in 1956 and raised their family in Richmond, B.C. Lee and Ray moved to South Surrey in 2011, thoroughly enjoying time with their family and friends. Lee was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Ester Watson, brother Gerald (Berva) and is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Ray Nelson, sons Robert (Kimberly), Michael (Patricia), her granddaughters Pamela (Tyler), Nicole (Ryan), Taylor, Brenna, her great granddaughter Nora, many loving family members and wonderful friends who she held so very close to her heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 29, commencing at 1:00pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre 14831 28th Ave. Surrey, B.C.
