Les was a wonderful man who we will always remember.  He used to phone us at Christmas instead of sending a card - a very personal present and we always enjoyed talking with him.  He used to help babysit our first son - Blair with my Auntie Kay in Langley.  It was very hard for me to go back to work when Blair was only 6 months old but leaving him in such good hands always made it easier for me.  He lived a full life and was always smiling.  Our condolences to his family.  Kendra will miss him as will we all.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Les.  When Les and Kay (my mother) were married in 1973, he became grandfather to our daughter Kendra who was two at the time.  The two of them had a special bond...gramps and 'the chick'.  We all had many happy years together.  Trips to California, camping at Black Mountain and BIrch Bay and many other adventures - too many to mention here.  Les was a devoted husband to Kay (his doll) and a friend to Brent and I.  We will remember those years with great fondness.  
For Kendra, she has lost a dear grandfather who always had time for her.  The two of them exploring Tom Sawyer's island in Disneyland - or Kendra sitting on gramps lap in the old Tiger Moth he flew with his friend Austin back to Toronto.
I am sure others will share their memories of Les here on this guest book - of his heroic days as a pilot in the war etc.  I just wanted to share a small part of our time with Les.  
Les lived a full and eventful life.  Our condolences to his family.
