It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Pereira on Sunday, November 1, 2015, in his 94th year. Manuel was born in Pico, Azores and came to Canada in 1961. Predeceased by his wife Maria and son Norberto. Manuel will be lovingly remembered and missed by son Carlos (Julia); Granddaughter Michelle; Daughter Maria Lucia (Mike) and grandchildren, Danielle, Vanessa and Travis. As well as being a kind and loving husband, Manuel was a very proud father and grandfather. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2250 - 150th Street, Surrey, BC. Father Tritschler will be officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at the George Derby Centre for their care and kindness. Much gratitude goes out to Yvonne Munetsi for her care and companionship of both Maria and Manuel over the last 4 and half years.
