Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was survived by her sister Jean; daughters Shelley Krauss (Stan) and Barb; three grandchildren Chris, Trevor, and Pricilla; and two great grandchildren Christy and Asita. Margaret was predeceased by Garfield, her husband of 61 years and her brother Jim and sister Sylvia.
Margaret was born in Moncton, NB. She moved to Vancouver from Ontario in 1954 and married Garfield in 1955. They lived in various small towns on Vancouver Island before moving to Tsawwassen in 1972. She was the Finance Director of Delta Hospital for many years, until she took an early retirement to pursue her many interests and hobbies. She was an entrepreneur and was active and engaged in bridge, lawn bowling, cross country skiing, golf, investing, gardening, and travelling.
Margaret had a large social group and a number of close friends, who also miss her dearly.
A celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Tuesday June 7th at the Royal Oaks Social Room 1100 56th Street Tsawwassen.
