Mario was born on December 8, 1948, in Imus, Cavite, Philippines to his parents Taquio and Doray Pagtakhan. Mario was the 2nd youngest of 8 siblings.
In 1974, he moved to Canada and started his new life in Winnipeg, where he met his wife, Tessie. In 1988, their daughter Maritess Megan was born and shortly after, they moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1991.
Mario always put his family first and was the most loving and caring husband to his wife of 47 years, Tessie and dad to his daughter, Maritess Megan. He did everything he could to ensure his loved ones were taken care of. He passed away peacefully on January 8th, with his wife and daughter by his side.
Mario had a great love for music, whether it be listening to his favourite songs (The Eagles, Beatles or Rolling Stones, just to name a few) or playing the guitar. He also appreciated fashion and this was shown through his stylish outfits and sneakers.
Although his presence will be forever missed and is deeply felt, we know he is at peace watching over his loved ones.
