My sincerest condolences Bili to you and your entire family. We will always remember Superman Marko! Sending you all love ❤️🙏
Grandpa Marko always supported our son in his battle to fight cancer. Not only did he help him by motivating him but also giving him hugs every day at school, he also was cheering him on during hockey! He treated our son like his own grandchild with so much love. Our most beautiful memory is at the celebration party.... grandpa Marko’s stood up and embraced our son and was so emotional when hugging him. Thank you for sharing your lovely Dad with our family. May he Rest In Peace.

From Aleks & Daniel:

Hello I’m Aleksander Oclarino and I’m Daniel Sokic, we are both grandsons of Marko Sokic. We both grew up together with Dida and we have shared very similar experiences with Dida. We would like to thank him for impacting our lives and always being there for us. Dida loved to take care of us. From a young age he taught us a lot of things such as building a snowman, cutting the grass, and teaching us math. He loved spending time with us whether it was going to the grocery store, helping in the garden, or delivering newspapers. He always loved spending quality time with his family. Even when he got older he made the effort to be involved with our sporting events. Dida always had the kindest heart, no matter what we did he would always forgive us. It won’t be the same without him however, his love and passion will be embedded in our hearts and we will always cherish the years we have spent together.

Hello my name is Noah Jayden Sokic Oclarino, I am the youngest grandson of Marko Sokic.
I thank you all for celebrating the life of my grandpa.
There are many words that can describe my dida. He was kind, loving, passionate, strong and hard working.
The best thing I remember about my dida is that he was my biggest fan. Ever since my first swim meet. Hockey game and lacrosse game he has been there cheering me on with the loudest voice in the crowd. My dida always loved to see me succeed but when things don’t go my way he always finds encouraging words to say. I remember this very clearly he always told me to do my best and most importantly have fun.
Here are some things that my Dida taught me. When it comes to academics Dida taught me how to do math. He also shared his passion for gardening with me. My Dida taught me how to use many gardening tools, from the leaf blower to the lawnmower and he taught me how to use gardening scissors to trim our herges.
For that I am very grateful that he shared his passion with me. One other thing he taught me was how to speak Bosnian. For that I’m also very grateful.
I will miss you but I will never forget the way you called me Nole and your big booming voice cheering me on from the stands. You will alway be in my heart.

Noah
