Mary Iris Holowaty

HOLOWATY, Mary Iris (nee Melnychuk) born September 2, 1935 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, with her children and brother Walter by her side on May 7, 2015. Lovingly remembered by her daughters Caroline (Lothar) and Shelly (Ted) and son Randy (Lisa), Brothers Walter (Barb) and Dave (Dawn) and Sister Nettie (Les), Grandchildren: Steffen, Carsten, Chris, Darren, Barry, John, Natasha, Rob, Cassie, Dan, Clint, Derek, Kayla and Brett and 15 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Anne and brother-in law Nick, special friends Sandra Leitch and Yvonne Krasey, and many family and friends throughout Canada, USA, Australia and Europe. Mary will be greatly missed and remembered for her charismatic and energetic personality, and of course her cooking! Family and friends were everything to her and she always thought of them before herself. Always smiling and laughing with ease, she enjoyed life to the fullest. She will forever be in our hearts. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors for their kindness and loving care. Mary appreciated all thoughts, gifts and prayers during her illness.
