Melanie Thompson

It is with heavy hearts that the Thompson, Miller and Lockwood families announce the peaceful passing of Melanie on Friday, February 10th, after a two year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Pat, daughter Trish (Darrell) Miller, son Dale, her pride and joy grandchildren, Cameron, Taylor and Brooke, her mother, Edith (Art), sisters Linda (Randy) Lang, Naomi (Terry) McKay, brothers Doug (Diana) Lockwood, Fred (Shelley) Lockwood, Mike (Denise) Lockwood, mother-in-law Ray Thompson, sister-in-laws Sue (Dave) Hale, Diane (Keith) White, Lori (Al) Tiggelaar and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Norman Lockwood, father-in-law Ernie Thompson and brother-in-law Bill Thompson.

By far, Melanie’s favourite thing was her family and spending time with all of her loved ones. In particular, her grandchildren brought her a tremendous amount of joy. Hours were spent watching them play hockey, gymnastics, baseball and the piano. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, golfing, cooking and enjoying summers at the cabin.
