My sincerest condolences to Mel's extended family and friends. Mel was a beautiful person, kind and caring as well as creative. I will miss her voice and contagious laugh. She was a dear friend. Sending lots of hugs and love to everyone during this difficult time. I'm greatful that I had the chance to be her friend and have her in my life. RIP Mel. Always loved and remembered.

Although I didn’t know Mel personally  i am deeply saddened by the news she was wonderful and great full soul, I cherished every conversation we ever  had or just being involved in group conversation with her ,  Sally  and myself…. My thoughts and prays go out to her husband Dan and her family

I'm absolutely devastated by the passing of Melissa.  She was an amazing friend and it's not going to be the same without her. She had such an infectious laugh - I will never forget all the wonderful times.  I hope she know how much she was loved and will be missed.

I want to take a moment to say how blessed I was to know Mel as a sister figure in my life. She had been such a light for me when I was going through my toughest times and was always there for me through it. She was such a bright, funny, and joyous person to be around and who I have considered a honor to have had such a phenomenal person such as Mel as a best friend. Words will never explain how much your passing hurt and I want to take this time to say my deepest condolences to the family and everyone else who knew Mel. You will always be missed and forever in our hearts.

A bit of a shock to stumble over this obituary as I have fond memories of our time in art class. Melissa's ability to draw Sailor Moon characters was a quiet inspiration in a year that was a bit tough for me.
