Pik Che, Connie Chan was born on 29th January 1953 in Hong Kong and emigrated to Vancouver Canada in 2003. Since falling into a coma on 14th May 2018 suddenly, Connie was sleeping deeply and sweetly before she passed away peacefully on 2nd June 2018 in Hong Kong North District Hospital Ward 2A – 29, surrounded by her beloved relatives. 29 was Connie's lucky number as she was born on 29th January. Her cremated remains were carried back to Canada and buried in Victory Memorial Park at Vancouver on 17th August 2018.
Connie was a loving auntie who always put her nephews first and never think of herself. She was also a filial piety daughter.
Connie started her first job as a school teacher in a Hong Kong seven story rooftop primary school. She then joined Reader’s Digest where she met her best friends. Connie finally chose accounting as her career and had been working in the financial industry for many, many years. She was an extremely responsible professional who always worked hard to finish her tight month-end / year-end accounting closings accurately and on time.
During her stay in Vancouver, Connie was working as a clinic nurse as well as a retail inventory associate of a large inventory management pioneer.
She took great pleasure in travelling and loved playing online games like Candy Crush Saga. She also enjoyed learning digital photography techniques. Her favourite colour was yellow.
We will always remember Connie’s smile and her tone of voice. We are very sad she will no longer be with us but her loving and generous spirit will live on forever in her family and many dear friends.
Burial took place at Victory Memorial Park Cemetery in Victory Meadows Lot 3008 on August 17, 2018.
