He is survived by his 4 sisters, Evelyn (Mohammed), Eilleen (Wesley), Irene (Hemant) and Evangeline (Jeff) and his 3 brothers, Jullian (Nancy), Leslie (Grayce) and Ron (Wendy) as well as his nieces (Amanda, Latisha, Elisha, Melissa, Anissa, Brianna, Alex, Gwyn), nephews (Mathew, Mark, Brian, Jeff, and Kevin), and great niece (Amelia).
Richard grew up in London, England. In 1974 he moved with the family to Vancouver, BC where he graduated from Windermere Secondary School. Richard was a talented artist. He loved sports, especially hockey and football and his beloved Canucks and BC Lions. Richard was kind and caring, known by many as a gentle giant. Throughout his life he always remained positive and upbeat even through many challenges. All of his family and his many friends will miss him and his beautiful smile.
