Ross passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday April 15, 2016.He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elsie, son Gary(Gai), daughter Lorraine Cook(Colin), grandchildren Brian,Kelyn , Shannon (Kyle) Couttts, Michael(Andrea), Trevor(Kyria) and Sean Cook, six of his eight siblings, brothers Bill(Doreen), Cecil(June), Terry (Delores), Ron (Diane), sisters Evelyn Zahaurk and Daphne Coutts.Ross was born in Edberg, Alberta later moving to Sardis, B.C.before coming to Vancouver in 1943.He enjoyed a 42 year careeer with BC Electric/BC Hydro in the Freight and Industrial Land Departments. Ross was a man of great integrityand kindness, a true gem.He always saw the positive side of life.We have fond memories of family road trips and many summers at Cultus, Vaseaux and Tucelnuit Lakes. His family wishes to acknowledge the exrmplary care and kindness he received during the six years he call Rosemary Heights Seniors Village "Home". If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A celebratiom of Ross' life wil be held at a later date.
