He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley, his parents Alfred and Janet, and his twin brothers, Art and Andy.
Russell was born July 25, 1927 in Nipawin, SK, and made his way to BC around the 1950s.
He was a professional mechanic and worked at YVR airport for 30+ years.
Russ was an active member of the Oakridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Vancouver, BC, where he made many close friends.
He liked to keep busy, and was always involved in projects with the church, and with his friends, even up to his 80s.
He enjoyed reading his Bible in his spare time, and with his work through the church, actively lived its teachings.
He loved being outdoors and basking in the sun. Most fond memories would include him enjoying the sunshine.
He is survived by his loving daughter Karen, his sister-in-law Margaret, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by his family, and by his friends.
