Shirley Margaret Ransom

Obituary of Shirley Margaret Ransom
IN THE CARE OF

Victory Memorial Park & Funeral Centre

In Loving Memory of

RANSOM, SHIRLEY MARGARET (PEE WEE)

July 12, 1934 – February 3, 3026

It is with sadness, warmth and deep love, we announce that Shirley passed away peacefully at Langley Hospital at the age of 91, after courageously facing many health challenges, and surrounded by her loving and devoted family and close friends. In her final hours, her peaceful, courageous spirit and sense of humour were on full display. Certainly a moment her loved ones will never forget! Hers was definitely a life well lived. Shirley thoroughly enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her cherished family and friends. She also enjoyed exploring her spiritual self and pursuing her enduring passion for naturopathic and alternative treatments.

Shirley was born in Vancouver where she met and married her lifelong sweetheart Alfred (The Captain), over 70 years ago. Over her lifetime she was a beloved family member (wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister and cousin), a loyal and fun-loving friend, a mentor to many, and an inspiration to us all. She will be dearly missed and forever loved and remembered.

Survived by her sons Jim (Colleen), David (Debbie), Danny (Deanna). Grandchildren Paul, Stephanie (Stephan), Michelle (Joel), Kailey (Paul), and Brandyn (Tia). Great grandchildren Austin, Landon, Isabella, Isobel, Layna and Myles. Great great grandchild Mylie. Predeceased by her brother Chic and survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No service as per her request. Celebration of life to follow at a later date, details will be posted here. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
