I worked with Tania up until about 2003. We kept in touch and she would always come and to join us at our work Christmas parties. But she didn't make the last one. I didn't know she was sick.

We shared lots of laughs. She could really drink for someone of her tiny size. She proudly carried the flag of rock and roll. The last time I saw her was at the Lemonheads show in May 2019. She shared new music she liked. Those songs have been on repeat the last few days.

Deepest condolences to Tania's family. I never met them but I knew from talking to Tania that she adored her parents who she sometimes jokingly called her roommates. And she was so very proud of her nephew Evan. She really cherished the time she spent with him and she just glowed whenever she talked about him.

Shocking is the word. How she will be missed! I volunteer at BVM and Tania would pass by all day long (she must have walked miles) on one mission or another, all excitingly varied. But she always had time to whip the computer into shape when it was bullying me, and her help with my projects was invaluable. It will be so strange not to see her there. What a loss.

I am truly shocked and saddened to hear of Tania's passing. It has been two years since I saw her last but I still remember her parting "See you soon!

We worked together for three years and in that time she was always ready to try new things and take on new jobs. I think she found her niche at Burnaby Village Museum, whether it was cleaning artifacts with Liz or opening and dealing with the Pandora boxes in the basement or being on site with a film crew. I never saw her sad. She made friends wherever she went.

I am very saddened to hear of Tania’s passing. I worked with her as a curatorial aid, filming at BVM and other day to day activities. She had that quiet humour and reliability that I admired so much. She was such a capable soul in everything she attempted. I learned so much from her and appreciated everything that was essence Tania. I will miss seeing you in the corner counter lunch room at your 11am break with your rice Krispy squares. I will miss our 2pm lunches in which I will always think of you when someone has soup. Thank you for all the latest “tip-news”. You kept me informed. Frank will sing one of your favourite songs just for you! Rest In Peace Bella.

I am saddened to hear this news. Tania was an ideal colleague at the museum where we worked near each other. The museum's curatorial department is generally quiet, but if there was a joke or sharp insight to share, Tania was right there with her contribution. She had a very incisive and clever sense of humour that always made me chuckle and often made me think! She was always helpful if I needed guidance in areas of her expertise. I was looking forward to reconnecting, but now I will simply miss her.

Tanya was a wonderful work buddy and always had a great sense of humour. She was passionate about work, always meticulous about the details and very dependable. So sad to see you go without having a chance to say goodbye. Thank you for all the support you have given to the project team & community members of the Chinese Canadian history project. Rest in Peace.

Though working in a different department at the Burnaby Village Museum we’d get off work at the same time. Tania and I would wait at the same bus stop together; talking about work and life and stuff. Before we knew it, our respective buses would arrive…. And continue our talk another time. Each time I wait at the bus alone , I will remember Tania. Rest in Peace Tania.
