Mr. Thevesagayam Navaratnam passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the age of 83. He is native to Karaveddy, Sri Lanka where he was born and raised. He then pursued a career in accounting and worked as an accountant in Sri Lanka before migrating to Canada in 2002 to be closer to his family. He resided in Toronto for 10 years with his daughter before moving to Vancouver to live with his son. He was a religious man and an avid member of the community who partook in good deeds, such as donating to hospitals and societies. He will be remembered as a kind husband, caring father and loving grandfather by his loved ones.
He is predeceased by his parents Mr and Mrs Thevasagayam, his sister Lily Kanakamani Jayaraja and his in-laws Rasathurai Antoniyapillai. He is survived by his wife Rajeshwari, children Anita Shanthy Rajkumar (Toronto), Shathish (London), and Julian Manoj (Vancouver), and grandchildren Brendalynn, Belicia, Erin, Amritha, Dion and Devin. He will be fondly remembered as the loving father-in-law of Anton Rajkumar, Velayinie Shathish and Tharini Julian and loving brother-in-law of Pearly David, Mariathas, Lily Jeyaratnam and Malar Thevanayagam.
