Mimi and Nicu were married in January 1958 in Timisoara, Romania and in 1970 they moved with their children from Italy to Canada and made it their home, not knowing a soul. She worked in various jobs but mostly with Freybe Sausage for about 16 years.
Mimi worked full-time, raised 2 children, learned a new language, managed the household, took care of everybody, and hosted large dinner parties monthly with close friends on a rotating schedule. With every new house purchased, renovations were inevitable and she was the “foreman” assisting her husband. Even in renovations, she would follow behind him with the vacuum!
Mimi loved spending time with her family and friends, attending church regularly, gardening, visiting her many Godchildren, cultivating African violets and Christmas cacti, playing casino slot machines, playing tile Rummy, loving her pets, travelling to warm exotic places and relishing her food! She always enjoyed eating her food with gusto and no one ever left her house feeling hungry. Her husband may have been the “invitee” to their events but Mimi prepared the feast!
She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
