January 28, 1939 in Calliaqua, St. Vincent passed away peacefully with her family by her side into the loving arms of her Saviour Jesus Christ on April 1, 2012 on Palm Sunday.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years Carlos; her two daughters Sharon and Judy (Samuel); sister Metaline Alexander; nieces, nephews, relatives and many good friends. Velma was a very compassionate wife, mother, nurse, mid-wife and friend who has touched the lives of many.
A time of Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC followed by a Service of Remembrance at 1:00 pm and a Burial thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
