It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma, aunt, sister and friend. With family at her side, Verla passed away peacefully after a 2 year courageous and admirable battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Morris and Verna Bye; her brother Marvin Bye. Survived by her loving husband Doug of 20 years; her children Vereena (Les) Robert, Kelly (Doug), Grandchildren; Samantha (Patrick); Courtnay, Cheyanne, Tanner, Bryanna. Brothers; Orval, Arnie and Vernon (Diane) Bye. She was and always will be a pillar of strength to each and every person she touched. She was everyone's mom, grandma, sister and especially friend. She will be in our hearts now, forever and dearly missed by all. We want to thank the nurses and staff at Laurel Place Hospice for the Love, Compassion and kindness they showed not only to Verla but to her family as well. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Victory Memorial Park 14831 – 28th Avenue Surrey, BC V4P 1P3 604-536-6522 on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laurel Place Hospice.
