Ash (Chloe Isabella) Valiente of Somerset, MA, age 22, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from heart disease on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Born in Providence, RI they were a child of Cesar and Jennifer (Bates) Valiente.
A graduate of Somerset Berkley Regional High School, Class of 2016, they attended Bridgewater State University, majoring in Communications.
Passionate about music, Ash was a member of the Show Choir throughout their four years of high school and was active in the music department. In addition, they participated in Color Guard, and were a member of the Debate Team, the Robotics Team, and the Gay Straight Alliance.

They were active in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, the Pride Center, the Jewish-Muslim Coalition, and the Residence Hall Association.
Ash was a loyal and caring friend, always there with a hug for those who needed it. They were never one to shy away from who they were or what they thought was right. Ash was a fierce advocate and protector for anyone who needed it and remained resilient in the face of any adversity they faced.
