Stanley R. Szczepanek

Born in Central Falls, RI the son of the late Stanley M. and Stefania (Molak) Szczepanek, he was raised in Pawtucket, resided in Seekonk and Swansea for many years before moving to Tiverton.

A graduate of Pawtucket East High School, Class of 1946, he was a veteran of the United States Army, 47th infantry division, serving as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Skilled at residential painting and wallpapering he was the owner and operator of Quality Paint in Barrington from 1974 until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Szczepanek enjoyed wintering in Florida with Mary Alice, watching Red Sox games, woodworking and his time as a Scout Master for Troop 1 in Seekonk.

He is survived by two sons, Stanley R. Szczepanek, Jr. and his wife Charlene of Rehoboth and Jeffrey R. Szczepanek and his wife Maureen; two daughters, Marcia A. Trodson and her husband Craig of Seekonk and Gail L. Rainey and her husband Timothy of Providence; two brothers, Joseph and Frederick Szczepanek; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Steven M. Szczepanek and brother of the late Genevieve Alexandre.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, followed by burial with Military Honors in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends invited.
