

She was the loving wife of the late Robert A. Tripp. Born in Swansea, she was the daughter of the late John and Emily (Costa) Ferry.
Mrs.Tripp worked for over 30 years as a department manager at K-Mart before retiring in 2005. She was an avid reader who enjoyed being outside, gardening, playing Bingo, and listening to music, especially the oldies. Above all else, she was a devoted wife and mother and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.
Her six children survive her: Deborah Westell and her husband Robert of Somerset, Dianne Lagasse and her husband Donald of Swansea, Scott Tripp and his wife Lynn of Texas, Kristine Krupa and her husband Kevin of Rehoboth, Sandra Cabral and her husband John of Swansea, Thomas Tripp and his wife Ginger of Swansea.
Her grandchildren include Joseph Martelly, Peter Martelly, David Martelly, Jessica Michienzi, Kory De Nardo, Nicholas De Nardo, Hallee Tripp, Brielle Tripp, Kylie Cabral, Kayden Cabral, Daniel Lagasse, and Rebecca Lagasse; her great-grandchildren: Charlie Martelly, Avery Mae Martelly, Julian Lagasse, and Violet Helen Michienzi along with many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tripp was the second oldest of a large family. Her siblings include six sisters: Emily Monteiro of Dighton, Evelyn Jones of Rehoboth, Patricia Moniz of Somerset, Cathy Vecchio, and Irene King, both of Westfield, and the late Agnes Massey; three brothers: John Ferry of Rehoboth, Fr. James Ferry of Oklahoma, and the late Edward Ferry.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardner’s Neck Road, Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Louis de France Church,56 Buffinton St, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 5 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
