Arline M. Boardman White

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Doherty) Boardman, she spent her youth in Fall River, lived in Fairhaven for 4 years, moving to Swansea 46 years ago. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1951 and was very involved with the Alumni Association. She was also active with MS group support meetings which were held monthly.

Mrs. White worked as a book keeper for the former Mc Whirrs Department Store. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time taking care of her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband: 4 sons: Gary W. White, Kenneth M. White, Keith J. White and Kevin G. White and wife Lisa all of Swansea, 4 daughters: Arline M. Sullivan and husband Thomas of Somerset, Kathleen M. Roy and husband Michael of North Dartmouth, Carol-Lynn White of Swansea and Eleanor A. Deschenes and husband Richard of Swansea, 1 brother Joseph Boardman and wife Norma of Pawtucket, 2 sisters: Eunice Simmons of West Bridgewater and Mary Flanagan of Fall River, many grandchildren including the late Kyle M. Roy, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Edward and George Boardman, Phoebe Lyons and Rita Perreault.

Her funeral will be held Monday January 31, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea. Her family will receive friends in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea from 8:30-9:30 prior to her Mass.
