Beatrice M. Gerrish

Beatrice “Bea” M. (Parent) Gerrish, age 70, of Somerset passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 11, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Kenneth “Ken” Russell Gerrish.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Richard D. and Miriam (Anderson) Parent.

A graduate of Brockton High School, she also attended Massasoit Community College. Bea worked for Foxboro Co. for twenty nine years before retiring in 1997. A member of the Congregational Christian Church of Somerset for many years, she enjoyed cooking and sharing meals. She loved spending time with her family and most importantly she cherished the time she spent with her great grandson, Connor.

She is survived by two children, Donald Yarletts, Jr. of Brockton and Toni-Jean Gadry and her husband Roger of Swansea; seven grandchildren, Ashley Jean Dupre and her husband Brett Dupre, Michael Yarletts, James C. Franco IV, Lindsey Marie Franco, Kasey Lyn Yarletts, Jason Gadry and Jonathan Gadry; one great grandson, Connor Dupre; two brothers, Richard E. Parent and Mark E. Parent; one sister, Miriam E. Conefrey.

She is also survived by what she called her “Bonus Children”, Sandra Robitaille, Bryan O’Brien and Kathleen Fedele; as well as several additional grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Kenneth W. Parent, Barbara A. Crowley and Gloria J. Parent.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
