Beatrice Macomber

She leaves behind her loving family, including her daughters, Paula Money (husband, Steve) and Lisa Braz (husband, Kevin); her grandchildren, Erin Plitsch, Kelsey Money, Jamison Braz, Lindsay Braz, and Alexis Braz; and several nieces and nephews.

The daughter of the late Augustus and Mary (Costa) Ferry, she was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Ferry, Leonora Moniz, and William Ferry.

A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School, Bea was an incredibly talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing for herself and her daughters and later making exquisite holiday and hand beaded special occasion dresses for her granddaughters. She and her husband especially enjoyed traveling, including extended winter trips to Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited and asked to proceed directly to the church no later than 9:45 AM.

Burial will be private.

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers from the Avita Memory Unit at Autumn Glen, Dartmouth and the hospice staff from Beacon Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to your local hospice organization.
