Beverly Jo (Gaskell) Correa and Bento Correa Jr, both age 72, of Fall River and formerly of Swansea, passed away this week. Beverly passed on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Bento passed at his home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Beverly and Bento had been happily married 53 years.
Beverly and Bento are survived by their daughter, Lori Frost and her husband Scott of Somerset; one grandson, Nathan Frost; Beverly’s four sisters, Elizabeth LaPenta and her husband Robert Sr., Lillian Lynch, Dianne Falcon and her husband Ronald, and Catherine Hayes and her husband Kenneth; Bento’s sister, Rosemary Correa Viveiros as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were considered family. They were predeceased by their son, Michael Correa.
Beverly was born in Fall River; she was a daughter of the late Frederick Gaskell and Lillian (Rochefort) Gaskell.
Bento was born in Fall River; he was the son of the late Bento Correa Sr and Rosalina (Carvalho) Correa.
Beverly worked at Walmart for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, crafting, and feeding local wildlife.
Bento worked at DURO Finishing until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and watching New England sports teams.
Beverly was a loving person that had a huge impact on so many people’s lives. She will always be remembered for giving her time to listen to others in good times and bad times. She was always willing to help others in any situation that may have arisen. Bento served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was always willing to help others in times of need, whether it was just listening or pulling up his sleeves and lending a helping hand. Both Beverly and Bento faced many challenges raising their family, but did so with love and devotion at all times. Beverly and Bento’s home was open to all throughout their lives and they will be missed by all the lives that they touched. A loving couple devoted to family and friends.
Their Burial will take place on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Vinnicum Woods, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited.
