Born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Antone and Rita (Medeiros) Mello, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Oliveira worked for over 25 years in the cafeteria at Diman Regional High School.
A very active member of the auxiliary of the VFW in Warren and Tiverton, she was current President and past District President in Tiverton. Mrs. Oliveira loved to knit and crochet.
Surviving: daughter: Sherry L. Farrell and her husband David of Swansea, step-son: Paul A. Oliveira of Somerset, brother: Robert Mello of Florida, grandchildren: David D. and Scott C. Farrell, great-grandchildren: Ryan E. and Kelsie E. Farrell and several nieces and nephews. She was the companion of Robert Levesque of Swansea. She was sister of the late Lucy Medeiros.
Her funeral will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 8 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea with a funeral mass at 9 AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 GAR Highway, Swansea. Visiting hours Sunday 1PM to 4PM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
