A 1998 graduate of Joseph Case High School, Corey worked as a mover for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and as a Junior Partner with Angel Catalyst, where he helped connect early-stage startups with investors.
Corey was a gifted musician and lyricist whose haunting, emotional songwriting earned him a special place in the local music scene. He was known for his creative spirit, sharp wit, and deep compassion.
He is survived by his parents and five siblings: Velvet Silva of Fall River; Tammara Brodsky and her husband Addam of Norton; Jasmine Cote of Vallejo, CA; Paul Silva of Northampton; and Ashley Amaral of Swansea. He is also survived by his longtime friend Kim Mahdesian of Warren, RI, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Corey’s life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Cremation will take place privately afterward.
