

Curtis A. Fisher, Jr., age 85, of Swansea, was welcomed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was the best friend and husband of Judith A. (Ormerod) Fisher to whom he had been married to 64 ½ years.
Born in Rumford, Maine, he was the son of the late Curtis Sr., and Lucy (Burr) Fisher. Curtis was a graduate of Holyoke High School and continued his education at Johnson and Wales University. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Curtis was a Regional Manager at the National Cash Register for 28 years, retiring in 1993.
Curtis was a devoted Christian and attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Fall River. He was a past Master at Pioneer Masonic Lodge in Somerset. He enjoyed treasure hunting, woodwork, carpentry, and electrical work, and could fix anything besides a sewing machine. He spent many hours building blue bird houses for his home as well as others. Curtis also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family in Maine at his former summer home. He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Above all else, he loved his family and spending time with and teasing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Curtis is survived by one son, Curtis A. Fisher, III of Swansea; three grandchildren, Amanda L. Landry and her husband Christopher of Eastham, MA, Ian Bolduc of Mansfield, MA and Jordyn T. Fisher of Fall River, MA; two great-grandchildren, Gavin C. and Gabrielle B. Landry; two sisters, Connie Bartlett and her husband David of Atkinson, New Hampshire, and Christiane Newton and her husband James of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; his son-in-law, Michael Bolduc of Fall River, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Bonnie L. Bolduc.
Curtis' family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses as Charlton Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care.
His Burial with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 1:45 PM in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Buzzards Bay, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in Curtis’ honor may be made to Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 4321 N Main St., Fall River, MA 02720. A Memorial Service at the Calvary Temple will be held and announced at a later date.
