Desiree L. Bence

Desiree was born in Providence, RI and was a 2013 graduate of Somerset Berkley Regional High School. Immediately after high school, she left for boot camp at Fort Lee, MO. During her time in the United States Army, she especially enjoyed her tour in Germany. After serving her time in the Army, she decided to take her passion for taking care of others and became a Personal Care Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the piano, skateboarding and spending time with her Great Dane Walter.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her siblings Wayne and Logan Bence; Aaron and Nicole Hodges, Michael and Elijah Nichols, and Brooklyn Manna; her grandmother Linda Vinci; her nephew Landon Bence and a host of nieces & nephews, her biological mother Angelina Hodges, maternal grandmother Edna Hodges, paternal grandmother Johnnie Mae Rose, paternal great grandmother Arlene Sanders.

She was predeceased by her twin sister Destiny Bence and her biological father Evander Rose III.

Her Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 3-6pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea.
