Dolores L. "Dolly" Rodrigues

Dolores “Dolly” L. (Martin) Rodrigues, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2013 in Orchard View Manor in East Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Rodrigues.

Dolly was born in Lincoln, RI, the daughter of the late Torcato and Lucy (Souza) Martin. She was a long-time employee of The Health Shoppe in Swansea, MA, before retiring in 1990.

Dolly moved to The Villages, Florida in 1991 from Swansea where she had enjoyed living for 31 years. She was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress, and she loved walking and exercising throughout her retirement. Dolly had a truly infectious laugh that will now be sorely missed.

She is survived by her brother, Louis Martin of Pawtucket, RI; a daughter, Linda Friedlander of Swansea, MA; two sons, Mark Rodrigues of Barrington, RI and Paul Rodrigues of New York, NY; and four grandchildren: Eric, Steven, Roselyn and Ryan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA.
