Doris M. Fidler Cooper

Mrs. Cooper was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Sadie (Robinson) Fidler and was a lifelong Somerset resident. Mrs. Cooper was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and the former FG Allan Secretarial School. She was employed as an Administrative Secretary at the Newport Naval Base and the Newport Naval War College for 40 years until her retirement in 1988. After her retirement she worked for several years as a secretary with Bristol Plymouth Storage.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Riley and her husband Bill of Swansea and Lynda Hentershee and her husband Roger of Somerset; three grandchildren, Kimberlee Faria, Kevin Riley and Kyle Ashworth; four great-grandchildren, Bethany and Hollyanne Faria, and Billy and Riley Ashworth and a niece. She was also the sister of the late George Fidler.

Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST 189 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 5PM. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Clifton Rehabilitative Center 500 Wilbur Ave., Somerset, MA 02725. Burial at Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset.
