Edna May Mullen

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ada (Gill) Corner, she had been a resident of Somerset since 1965.

Mrs. Mullen was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. She worked as sales clerk at the former Cherry & Webb Department Store in Fall River for many years and then as a secretary for the Dental Office of Dr. Leigh. Her best times spent were with her family.

She is survived by three sons; Robert E. Mullen Jr. and his wife Margaret of Dighton, William J. Mullen and his wife Ann Marie of Somerset, Richard A. Mullen and his wife Barbara of Tiverton, two daughters; Cynthia M. Mullen of Somerset, Barbara E. Hathaway and her husband Bradford of Westport, one sister; Bessie Austin and her husband Donald of Swansea, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Arthur, William, Florence and Elizabeth Corner, Ruth Dunn, and Grace Martin.

Her Funeral will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to her service from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Clifton Activities Fund, 500 Wilbur Ave. Somerset, MA 02725. Burial is private.
