Born in Newport, Rhode Island, a son of the late Edward S. and Eleanor (Rogala) Majewski, he was a longtime resident of Swansea.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1955 he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Salve Regina University in 1991. A proud Veteran, he served in both the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. Mr. Majewski retired from the United States Army as Staff Sergeant. Prior to that, he worked as a Police Officer for the Town of Swansea and as a butcher locally.
While enlisted in the Marine Corps he was a member of their baseball team. He also enjoyed playing recreational softball for the Greater Fall River Softball league as a catcher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Diane L. Graca and her husband John of Somerset; three sons, Edward S. Majewski and his wife Deborah of Swansea, Mark H. Majewski and his wife Lisa of Swansea, and Gary M. Majewski and his wife Sandy of Rehoboth; one brother Henry “Hank” Majewski; seven grandchildren, Holly, Heather, Alyssa, Kayla, Brandon, Cassie and Madison; four great grandchildren, Cameron, David, Kelsey and Jackson. He was the grandfather of the late Melanie Majewski.
His services will be private and are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
