Elizabeth "Betty" (Ward) Theriault

Elizabeth “Betty” (Ward) Theriault, age 93 of Somerset formerly of Swansea passed away, Saturday, February, 18, 2012 in the Somerset Ridge Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Theriault.

Born in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late Alfred and Kate (Porter) Ward, she was a longtime Swansea resident until moving to Somerset several years ago. She was a communicant of the former St. Michael’s Church and a member of its’ Women’s Guild and the Royal Travelers. Mrs. Theriault worked for several years with the former US Records in Somerset and Raytheon in Dighton.

She is survived by four children Barbara P. Hiatt and her husband Richard of San Diego, CA, Ernest J. Theriault and his late wife Natalie of Swansea, William A. Theriault and his wife Arlene of Fairhaven and Norman R. Theriault and his wife Pauline of Swansea; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late James Ward, Ivy Turner, Doris Chase and Lily Demers.

Her funeral will be Friday, February 24, 2012 at 8am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by her funeral mass at 9am in St. Francis of Assisi Church 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
